It’s summer time and the living is HOT everywhere. So it must be time to find the cooling comfort of water. Relaxing around cool waters does not mean having to sacrifice style or comfort as we can see from these innovative outdoor applications of Tableaux ®faux iron.
An outdoor fountain located in Texas enjoys a decorative wrought iron touch around it, emphasizing Spanish Colonial or Tuscan styling consistent with the home’s interior. By simply ordering Tableaux Exterior grade, rather than Tableaux Standard, your piece will withstand humid conditions and rain showers.
Style and comfort in outdoor living can mean houseboats regally outfitted to float along your favorite waterway.
Thoroughbred Houseboats (www.tbboats.com), raises the bar about what is possible in a recreational boat. This upscale dream machine offers elegance and easy living with Tableaux featured throughout the cabin. See the photo of Tableaux ceiling treatment Thoroughbred designers added to this year’s show boat.

It's not always we get to have a peek at location before Tableaux® was specified, but thanks to Interiors by Decorating Den's Adrian Halperin, we now have that opportunity.
Adrian took on the whole room at the Miller residence in her home state of Maryland and later submitted her spectacular results to the annual Dream Room competition that IDD hosts during their conference.
Using the magic of color and selection of stylish traditional furnishings, the room now has an elegant but homey feel to it. Adrian's choice of #422 Cosenza Tableaux faux iron pattern provides a dramatic statement that signals classic European design.
Though we don't see much of the window area in the Before photos, we can see that the focal point arch above the French doors is awaiting window dressing to set the tone of the room.
Tableaux ® as a window treatment is a great design solution for transitional interiors. Easy contemporary furnishings, as we see here , partner well with traditional faux wrought iron designwork.
Many thanks to Adrian and the staff at IDD for sharing their work with us!

Now that the SGO Europe Conference is past, it is the fleeting images of Marrakesh that remain in my mind. Everywhere I go, my eye catches wrought iron design and this city has ornamental iron on balustrades, window grilles, and doors along with its famous carved plaster and wood screens. Besides the culturally-inspired traditional motifs used in the iron work, it is the lavish use of color that first greets the visitor.
Sea greens, indigo blues and purples, and a full range of terra cotta tans to rose are a foundation to their palette. What I was immediately struck with, was the ease with which these colors are used together. Green iron and tile work are used freely as a neutral accents throughout the city. Check out "Moroccan Style by Alexandra Bonfante-Warren available at Amazon.
Naturally, I thought about our own offering of Tableaux® green wrought iron finish colors. We offer Patina Bronze and Athens, two great organic green finishes. Our organic iron art finishes are actually painted with a foundation color then brushed with a corrosive wash that then ‘rusts’ on the piece. Environmental factors such as heat and humidity influence how the piece turns out. So our green iron finishes can range from teal to soft algae green. Each order is unique. For this reason we encourage you to order all the needed pieces in any organic finish at the same time.
Consider Tableaux’s luscious greens when ordering and bring the drama of Marrakesh into your personal space. Be delighted with the interplay of green-toned iron art on your windows and doors.

Meet Faux Iron Solutions Dealer Maria O'Connor
Maria O'Connor of Naperville, IL learned her trade from mentor Brenda Knupp who saw her talent and hired her to accessorize the firm's interior design projects. From Brenda, Maria gained confidence and skills to work with a wide range of clients focusing on providing value and professional acumen. We're glad she loves and shows Tableaux® as skillfully as she does. A little known fact about our company is that it is due to our creative dealers who drive product development by coming up with new applications and displays for Tableaux®. It is their inventiveness and enthusiasm for all the wonderful ways to use Tableaux® that keeps us ticking and their businesses exciting.
