Imagine beginning the month with a call from HGTV'd with a request to produce a ceiling treatment due in a week! Jake Scott, Construction Manager for the show called to tell us that they were filming an over-the-top room created in an ordinary home by a celebrity designer. He had just discovered Tableaux faux iron and that the whole HGTV'd crew with San Diego-based designer Sandra Espinet Kairis were wild about featuring it in their Austin project home. We loved Sandra's website at www.sandraespinet.com and knew immediately that Tableaux would be used elegantly in her design for the Austin room.

Now imagine a hand painted terra cotta colored  faux ceiling behind the ceiling treatment. Chiaro & Scuro studio owner Valerie Billings-Swayne brushed multi-layers of color behind the Light Rust Tableaux and then added antique rust tile patterns all around it, creating an elegant Spanish-colonial ambience.

Tableaux faux wrought iron was also inserted in the entertainment center cabinet doors. A last minute final touch of Tableaux was added to the room's entry swinging doors.

Seeing the already pleasing room in Rich and Michelle Cardenas' Austin home transformed to a contemporary, well-appointed media and family center over a period of 5 days was well worth the flurry it generated to make all it happen here. Congratulations to the HGTV'd producers, designers, construction and tv crews for a first class, seamless job all executed in our sultry, early summer Texas heat.

We promise to post airing dates and pictures when they become available!
