Tuscan-inspired design never left home fashion, it just continues to express its timeless decorative message through modern materials. While we often receive inquiries about using Tableaux® faux wrought iron for Juliette balconies, we don’t often get a finished project photo of one. Thanks to Mike Vikesland of Embellish design in Austin, TX for this simply elegant installation of Tableaux.
To create your own Juliette balcony, you can order the Tableaux as one length similar to what you see here, adding your own decorative touches on the vertical bars, if you wish. We’ve seen other equally creative faux balconies with the vertical bars attached over the rail bars.
Remember, Tableaux is a decorative wrought iron product, not a structural one. So be sure you’re your balcony railing is never used. We also recommend that Tableaux never be specified for balustrades or railings of any kind where personal safety is at issue. There are so many delightful, ornamental applications for faux wrought iron that give you the look and feel of real iron. To learn more about how to order your Juliette balcony, give us a call or email us from this website.
Nothing turns a room around quicker than a Tableaux® application somewhere. We’ve been seeing the happy results of this phenomenon for years now, but you have to experience it yourself to know the difference the look and feel of wrought iron has on a room – and an entire family!
Click on the link below to see the HGTV’d episode with international design star, Sandra Espinet’s generous use of Tableaux faux iron throughout the sophisticated multipurpose upstairs lounge in Michelle and Ricky Cardenas’ home. Michelle and Ricky dreamed of having a cozy media room where they could relax and experience a social area away from their young family.
An upstairs bedroom became a Mexican-inspired cantina with a distinct upscale look with Tableaux prominently featured.
You don’t need HGTV to overhaul your home to have the benefits of the Tableaux experience yourself. Tableaux brings forth the romance and elegance of wrought iron no matter what style you now have in your home.
Ceiling treatments come in many interesting variations, from a round medallion around a light fixture to coffer inserts across the entire ceiling. The look and feel of wrought iron design used in ceiling applications never fails to amaze and inspire.
Designer Paula Peterson of Interior Viewpoint (Flossmoor, IN) recently shared her photo with us and we clearly remember going through the ordering process with her step by step. This photo is a frameless design with a white iron finish color. The white on white Tableaux on the ceiling evokes Traditional styling with the freshness of iron rather than plaster.
Let us advise you on how to order the perfect ceiling treatment for your customer. We can work with you on how to measure, plan for inset or eyeball lighting, how to select installation hardware including spacers and show you photos that illustrate your unique wrought iron ceiling design selection.
Just What the Doctor Ordered - Lightweight, Affordable Tableaux
Written by Carol BlanchardWe were especially delighted to hear from Inner Design Studio in Brentwood, TN about how well Tableaux faux iron fit into their reception area for New Carolinas Medical Center in Lincoln, NC and want to share this photo with all of you.
We always happy to hear success stories from our customers about just on the mark Tableaux figures into their overall design. Imagine our delight when Allison Hughey, designer for Inner Design Studios in Brentwood, TN showed us her ‘baby pictures’ of their acclaimed Carolinas Medical Center in Lincoln, NC with Tableaux faux iron prominently displayed in the reception area.
Chatting with Allison revealed that the design firm was directed to create an upscale, Ritz Carlton hotel experience in the hospital reception area. It needed to have a traditional feel as well as be comfortable and inviting for patients and visitors.
Naturally, cost concerns demanded the most “bang for the buck” which is why Allison and her team liked Tableaux. She could specify the exact design, finish color and size to fit the key display areas throughout the reception area without breaking the budget.
Many thanks to Inner Design Studios for sharing their work with us! You can learn more about this healthcare design firm at www.innerdesignstudio.com.

We already know that Tableaux’s beautiful designs inspire romance though we were happy to hear that romance led directly to Tableaux. Our new dealer in Wall, TX, Kristy Dexter shared her pathway to Tableaux with us and it was so inspiring, we want to share it with you.
Kristy and her husband Jason, who is of Portuguese descent, spent their honeymoon in the island of Medeira. In this Old World city, Kristy took in the beauty of wrought iron on the buildings and homes that provided the inspiration for their own new home.
For years, Kristy looked for a product that she could incorporate the look and feel of those wrought iron designs she saw in Madeira - without the weight or cost.
After finding faux iron, she shared “my heart literally stopped! I knew I wanted this product and wanted to sell this product!! I just cannot wait to visit homes and bring the beauty and light with Tableaux® into them. I am just thrilled beyond belief to share this product!”
Kristy’s business is aptly named Janela Bela, Portuguese for ‘beautiful window’.
It’s not often we get to peek inside a studio of a designer, but in this case Lorraine White of Plan It Home (www.planithome.net ) located in charming Henderson, Texas shared her showroom with us.
Her eclectic collection of upholstery, furniture, draperies, plantation shutters and window coverings includes an arresting g piece of Tableaux® faux iron. She chose “Orleans” Tableaux® design to mount in an old cathedral window frame. We love the melding of the contemporary wrought iron with the antique frame. Lorraine acknowledges that her Tableaux® window is a show-stopper – the statement piece that captives her browsers and clients.
The cathedral window can use used as a room divider, headboard, wall décor or as a specially-crafted window. Use this highly innovative idea to imagine for designing with the look and feel of traditional wrought iron in your contemporary homes and businesses. Tableaux offers endless possibilities for creative expression. Take a tip from Lorraine and if you are passing through Texas, you’ll love Henderson!
If you are thinking of specifying a Tableaux® wall décor or ceiling treatment, consider using our free spacers to offset your piece, creating depth and shadows.
Wall décor and ceiling treatments are almost always direct mounted to the wall or ceiling. That means that we drill into the front face of the piece so direct set screws fasten the piece to the surface. A spacer is nothing more than a narrow tube the screw passes through before it attaches into the mounting surface. (show photo of our bedroom piece)
Did you know you can order customized spacers for your direct-mount pieces for absolutely no cost?
Often a mere ½” to 1” creates the dramatic depth you are seeking, though you can order a spacer up to 4” and we’ll provide the appropriate length screw to work with that length. We recommend the use of spacers up to 1" for unsuported wall applications or up to 4" inches for ceiling applications.
Tableaux® faux iron ceiling medallions and wall décor looks rich and even more authentic a simple spacer mounting. If you want learn more about how to order your Tableaux wrought iron artwork with our free spacers, just contact us.
Tableaux is the contemporary solution to decorative wrought iron design for windows, doors, cabinet inserts, ceilings, wall and dungeon décor. The weight of heavy iron is no longer a factor to fear when considering the look and feel of wrought iron design for your home castle.

Now, back to ordering Tableaux – we simply sell our pieces by square footage. Height x width provides the square foot or area. Forget about those formulas you learned in geometry class! For us a circle's area is diameter x diameter. Multiply the area by your dealer's single or double sided pricing and that is just about all there is to specifying a piece of Tableaux. Your knowledgeable dealer can help you with special applications or unusual conditions.
It’s summer time and the living is HOT everywhere. So it must be time to find the cooling comfort of water. Relaxing around cool waters does not mean having to sacrifice style or comfort as we can see from these innovative outdoor applications of Tableaux ®faux iron.
